chiropractic
if you’re a runner, it can help to seek treatment from a practitioner who runs, too. knowledge of the sport and understanding the culture around it can be so valuable.
I am a chiropractor, but it’s not what you might think!
this is not a backy-cracky, neck-snappy, 5-minute appointment kind of thing.
I use a variety of modalities to treat musculoskeletal pain and injuries, and choose to use longer appointments to ensure that you are fully taken care of.
tools in the toolbox:
- manual soft tissue therapy (think my hands working on your muscles, Active Release-style)
- assisted soft tissue therapy (cupping, or Graston-style tools)
- dry needling and contemporary medical acupuncture
- joint mobilization and manipulation
- education
- EXERCISE PRESCRITION 🙂
- extracorporeal shockwave therapy
- diagnostic imaging requisitions, when appropriate

appointments are 60 minutes for an initial visit, and follow-ups can be 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs.
we can also do running gait assessments on the treadmill. if you believe that your pain or injury might be related to how you run, this is the appointment type to choose. or, if you have video of you running already, you can just book a regular assessment and send me the video in advance of your appointment.
i don’t often recommend getting a running gait assessment if you have no issues with running. you can read more about that in an upcoming blog post (stay tuned).
strength programming
strength. training. is. SO HECKIN IMPORTANT!!!
if you are running regularly and not strength training, you are neglecting a tremendous opportunity to:
1) make your musculoskeletal system robust and resilient
2) reduce your injury risk
3) improve performance
I love to help runners begin their strength training journeys with basic programming. and if you have pain related to running, I will happily work with you on a strength program that is tailored to your unique needs based on your pain/injury.
for advanced strength coaching, check out the coaches section in the collective.

I acknowledge that my work and play takes place on Treaty 7 territory: the traditional land of the Blackfoot Confederacy (the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations) as well as the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Stoney Nakoda Nations (consisting of the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley First Nations). this area is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. I am grateful to live, move, and connect on these lands.
